Free children’s activities and meals over school summer holidays in Lambeth

The Black Prince Trust is offering free classes for local residents aged eight to 18 for five weeks over the school summer holidays in a bid to boost physical activity and participation

From July 25 to August 26, a range of activities will be put on weekdays from 10.30am until 4pm.

Activities will span from basketball and boxing to football, fitness and multi-sports.

As well as physical activities, the trust will also deliver short workshops, 30 minutes each, on important topics, such as nutrition and healthy eating, employment and mental health.

The Black Prince Trust will also be giving out healthy lunch alternatives of approximately 80 meals per day, free to everyone who has booked their place.

The community hub already offers a wide range of free classes and activities for local residents, but will ramp up its offering over summer – particularly to ease pressure on working parents while offering locals the chance to learn or develop news skills and engage within their community.
