Lewisham calls on residents to ‘have your say’ designing streets and public spaces
Lewisham council has opened a draft of its Streetscape Design plan for feedback and is urging residents and businesses to share their views to help design the boroughs public spaces.
The guide has been developed as a toolkit that can be used by planning teams to inform major infrastructure programmes like Catford Town Centre regeneration, and Lewisham Town Centre improvements.
Alongside an online consultation platform, there will be various drop-in sessions hosted across the borough. These will be held at Catford Library on Tuesday, Beckenham Place Park and Deptford Lounge Library on April 3 and Downham Library on April 16.
The consultation will close on April 24.
Councillor Louise Krupski, cabinet member for environment and climate action, said: “We want to see streets and public spaces in Lewisham that are green, clean and accessible.
“This consultation isn’t just for the town planners and designers, but for everyday people who walk our local streets and want Lewisham to thrive.”
