Man charged following the abduction and sexual assault of a child
A 38-year-old man has been arrested and charged following the abduction and sexual assault of a girl last week.
Matthew Cole, of Abbey Wood, was charged today with two counts of sexual assault on a child and two counts of child abduction.
The incident involving a child happened in the area of Maxwell Road, Welling, last Friday, April 23.
Following an investigation by the South East Safeguarding Team, Cole was arrested on Thursday, April 29.
He is due to appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court later on today.
