Man charged after teenager attacked with metal pole in Streatham
A man has been charged after he allegedly attacked a 13-year-old boy with metal pole as he was leaving school.
Luke Bowyer, 35, of Leigham Court Road in Streatham, was charged with grievous bodily harm with intent, three counts of assault by beating and one count of criminal damage following the incident on Wednesday.
Police were called to Dunraven School at around 3.20pm to reports of a man attacking people with a pole.
A 13-year-old boy was found with a head injury and was treated at the scene before being taken to hospital. His condition has now been assessed as non-life threatening and non-life changing.
Bowyer appeared at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on November 27 and was remanded to appear at Inner London Crown Court on 4 January 4.
