Man charged with murder after 53-year-old woman found dead at a house in Lewisham
A man has been charged with murder after a 53-year-old woman was found dead at a house in Lewisham.
Shortly before midnight last Wednesday, June 16, police officers attended a residential address in Cressingham Road.
They found a 53-year-old woman who was unresponsive and despite the best efforts of the emergency services, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
A formal identification is yet to take place but officers are confident that the deceased is Marlene Coleman.
Her next of kin have been informed.
Franklin Mcleod, 54, of Cressingham Road, was arrested in the early hours of Thursday, June 17.
He was charged with murder on Saturday and appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Monday where he was remanded in custody.
He was due to appear at the Old Bailey today.
