Pair charged with murder of teenager in Greenwich

Police investigating the murder of a teenager in Greenwich have charged two people.

Mario Gruda 22, of SE9, was charged on Thursday with the murder of 18-year-old Cameron Murfitt, who suffered fatal stab wounds in the Woolwich Common area on March 15.

A 17-year-old boy was also charged on Saturday with murder.

Gruda appeared at Bromley Magistrates’ Court on Saturday.

The 17-year-old will appear in custody at Bromley Magistrates’ Court today.

An 18-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of murder on March 16 and has been bailed to return on a date in mid-April.

  • Neighbours are telling on neighbours about their movements during this lock down, i’m sure the police will welcome more info on crime especially knife crime from the community .At the moment a person has to get within 2metres [the distance recomended to keep safe ] to stab someone putting the offender at risk of infection!! We are losing people every day to this terrible virus, life is hard enough ,its the community that will stop killings , not Khan not the police or MPs

  • police getting info on people telling them about people breaking the lockdown rules i’m sure police police would like info about crime especially knife crime from the community, at the moment you have to get within the 2 metres [the distance reccomended to keep safe ] to stab someone, putting the offender at risk of infection!! We are losing people every day from this trerrible virus, life is hard enough no more stabbings, no more knives!
