Man in 20s dies after motorbike collides with kerb

A man in his 20s was killed in the early hours of this morning after a motorbike hit a kerb.

The Met said they were called to Streatham High Road, near to the junction with Heybridge Avenue, at around 4am where they found an injured motorcyclist.

Officers attended along with the London Ambulance Service and the London Fire Brigade. 

Despite the efforts of the emergency services the man died at the scene. His next of kin have been informed. 

The Met said in a statement: “At this early stage of the investigation, we do not believe there to have been any other vehicle involved. Further enquiries are taking place to establish the circumstances.” 

Any witnesses are asked to call 101 quoting CAD 783/18May.
