Man in 60s dies from injuries in Croydon car crash
A man who was hit by another man driving a car and left in a critical condition has died, the Met has confirmed.
The man, aged in his 60s, was hit by a car on Brigstock Road in Thornton Heath on Friday at around 11.25pm.
Emergency services were called to reports hat a car had collided with a pedestrian.
The man in his 60s was taken to hospital but today the Met confirmed that the man had died. The police force added that his family has been informed and will be supported by specialist officers.
The driver of the vehicle, a 37-year-old man, was arrested on suspicion of driving offences including serious injury by dangerous driving. He has been bailed to a date in mid-November.
A spokesman for the Met said: “The investigation is being led by officers from the Met’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit.
