Man rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition after Woolwich stabbing

A man has been rushed to hospital after a stabbing in Woolwich yesterday afternoon.

Police were called at around 4pm to reports of a man stabbed in Herbert Road, near the Lord Herbert pub.

Officers found a man with a stab injury. He was rushed to hospital by the London Ambulance Service, where his condition is currently deemed as life-threatening.

A man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He remains in police custody.

A crime scene remains in place.
