Met investigating ‘unexpected’ death of woman in woods

The Met are investigating the “unexpected” death of a 38-year-old woman who was found in woods on Friday.

Officers were called at around 7.30pm to reports that a woman had been found unresponsive in Elmstead Wood, between Bromley and Chislehurst.

Police attended the scene with the London Ambulance Service where they found the woman. The Met have confirmed that the woman died at the scene and her family has been informed.

A spokesman from the Met said: “The death is being treated as unexpected and further enquiries are taking place to establish the circumstances.”
