Met release CCTV of woman, 63, missing for more than a month

The Met have released CCTV footage of a 63-year-old woman who has been missing from her home in Lewisham for more than a month.

Jennifer Townsend was last seen on December 4 at her home by a family member.

There are concerns for Ms Townsend’s welfare, including her mental health, the Met said.

The last known sighting of  Ms Townsend was on January 13, when she was captured on CCTV walking along Oxford Street in central London.

She was wearing a blue backpack and pulling a black-wheeled trolley or case.

Ms Townsend has no known contacts in the area, but police believe she remains in and around this location.

A spokesman from the Met said: “If you have any information that could assist police to locate Jennifer then please call 101 and quote ref: 24MIS001351.”
