Man arrested following Asda stabbings
Met officers have confirmed the arrest a man following a multiple stabbing in a Croydon warehouse – and said the people involved were known to each other.
Police were called at around 10.15am today to reports of a stabbing at an Asda warehouse in Marlowe Way, Beddington.
Five people – a man in his 50s, two men in their 30s, and two men in their 20s – were taken to hospital with stab wounds. Their conditions were assessed as not life-threatening.
A 30-year-old man was arrested nearby on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and possession of an offensive weapon. He was also taken to hospital with injuries that were also not life-threatening.
