MP for Battersea pledges to keep Queen’s ‘principles’ alive in community
The MP for Battersea, Marsha de Cordova, has issued a statement to her constituents after the death of Queen Elizabeth II.
The MP took to social media to offer her condolences to the Royal Family and share her thoughts about the long-reigning monarch.
She said: “Today is a great loss for the Royal Family and our whole country. My thoughts and prayers are with the Royal Family at this sad time.
“Our remarkable Queen dedicated 70 years to serving our country as our longest reigning sovereign, devoting her life to the betterment of our country.
“She inspired many people across the world with her wisdom and sense of duty.
“Across Battersea, people will be reflecting on her selfless service and leadership of our country. We will remember her through keeping alive the principles and values she embodied.”
