Murder investigation launched after boy’s body dragged out of canal
A boy’s body has been found in a canal after he is believed to have been stabbed at least a mile away.
The Met launched a murder investigation after the 17-year-old boy’s body was pulled from the canal in Scrubs Lane, between Acton and Willesden, at around 5.45pm on Sunday.
It is thought the 17-year-old boy was knifed in Ladbroke Grove, North Kensington.
Despite the efforts of the emergency services he was pronounced dead at the scene at 6.10pm.
A forensic tent has been set up next to the as police divers search for evidence. So far there have no arrests.
A Met statement said: “A post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place on Wednesday, 28 June. A crime scene remains in place.
