Murder investigation launched in Brixton after man stabbed to death

A murder investigation is under way following a stabbing in Brixton.

Police were called at around 4.45pm yesterday to reports of a stabbing in Coldharbour Lane.

Met police officers and the London Ambulance Service attended the scene, where a 22-year-old man was found with a knife injury.

Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he died at the scene.

A Met spokesman said: “Work is ongoing to identify and inform his next of kin. At this early stage there has been no arrest.

“A crime scene is in place and officers remain on scene.

“Anyone who witnessed this incident or has information or footage should call police on 101 or ‘X’ @MetCC quoting 5530/3OCT.
