New flats next to West Croydon railway station on sale for £350K

By Tara O’Connor, Local Democracy Reporter

Flats next to West Croydon station are now on sale from £358,000.

The first flats in the new 25-storey tower are expected to be completed by the end of 2023.

It has been more than seven years since the 240 flats were first given the green light by Croydon council.

Facing West Croydon railway station, the development is set to include a new public square as well as shops and cafes, and is being built on land next to St Michael and All Angels Church.

Known as London Square Croydon, flats in the two blocks of 21 and 25 storeys can now be purchased.

One-bedroom flats are listed for between £358,000 and £425,000, while two-bedroom flats are available from £485,000 to £545,000.

A three-bedroom flat on the second floor would set you back £600,000. A total of 108 flats will be offered for private sale and are set to be completed by the end of the year.

The remaining 132 flats will be offered through shared ownership in a partnership with Clarion Housing. These homes are expected to be completed in March 2024.

The developer has also advertised a deal of a five per cent deposit boost for those that reserve two-bedroom flats at full asking price. This is equivalent to £23,750 for a flat worth £475,000.

In 2020, London Square bought the site, which already had planning permission from Portman Square Holdings.
