NHS choir join Rag’n’Bone Man and P!nk performing at the BRIT Awards
Lewisham and Greenwich NHS choir might need medical attention for a condition they contracted on Tuesday night at the BRIT Awards – singing their hearts out.
The choir performed alongside superstars Rag’n’Bone Man and P!nk at the ceremony, providing harmonies for the chart-topping pair’s recent collaboration ‘Anywhere Away From Here’.
Caroline Smith, the Choir’s leader and a Children’s Physiotherapist, said the experience was a whirlwind.
She said: “To perform at the BRITs representing the NHS is a dream come true, and to contribute to such a gorgeous song with the legends that are Rag‘n’Bone Man – who couldn’t have been nicer – and P!nk is an honour.”

Ms Smith hoped people will buy the song, which is raising money for their Trust Charity and NHS Charities Together, who will spend it throughout the NHS across the whole UK.
The BRIT Awards 2021 with Mastercard are already a huge date in the live entertainment calendar but it waw the first major indoor music event to welcome back a live audience, with 2,500 tickets to the O2 arena being gifted to frontline heroes and their guests via a ballot.
Singer Rag’n’Bone Man said: “Having people attend this special evening makes me really excited for touring to come.
“I’m grateful that P!nk is able to join from across the pond, to my band as ever and the NHS Choir are sounding amazing.”
This is not the first taste of fame for the choir, who have collaborated with international star Justin Bieber and performed at Windsor Castle for The Queen’s Christmas Broadcast.
All the choir’s rehearsals and performances are done in their own time, fitting around the vital work they do for theNHS.
This year’s BRIT Awards took place on May 11 at The O2 arena, broadcast on ITV and ITV Hub and hosted by award winning comedian and actor Jack Whitehall.
Winners included Dua Lipa, Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Little Mix.
