Oasis Academy Ryelands School is recognised for its health and safety standards
A primary school has been given a national award for having ‘excellent’ health and safety standards.
Oasis Academy Ryelands has been recognised by the National Safety Certificate Scheme known as safetyMARK for their high standards of safety within the school.
Glen Lillo, principal of Oasis Academy, said after winning the award: “We are thrilled to be recognised with the SafetyMARK award.
We take the safety of our staff and pupils extremely seriously and it’s wonderful to have this recognition for all of our efforts to make our school such a safe place to work and study.
“Having achieved the SafetyMARK award, we can demonstrate our commitment to maintaining excellence in the management of health and safety within our school.”
SafetyMARK carries out its process through examining systems and procedures, as well as the way activities are carried out within the school.
