Peckham’s passion for sustainable fashion helps to save sight

A charity and the vintage pre-loved clothing brand are collaborating to raise money for vision loss research.
The first Peckham Carboot and Fight for Sight event in March saw generous clothing donations for sale in the charity’s boutique shops across South London.
Fight for Sight supports people who are blind or vision-impaired, the vision loss sector and society.
Fight for Sight’s stock donations manager, Brinda Rambaran, said: “We are thrilled to be collaborating with Peckham Carboot and grateful to all the sellers who donated generously.
“The money we raise over the coming months will help Fight for Sight to save sight and change lives by funding sight loss research and driving social change.”
Formerly vision Foundation, Fight for Sight’s new London shops offer curated preloved and vintage items- all with a vision to ‘Save Sight. Change Lives.’
Every purchase at Fight for Sight’s shops funds innovative research and projects that support blind and vision-impaired individuals.
Peckham & Balham Carboot founder, Erin Murphy, says: “It’s an easy way of collecting second-hand goods in one go and we’re proud that our Carboot community is supporting Fight for Sight.”
Peckham Carboot’s next event for Fight for Sight will be on April 13 followed by events every other Sunday throughout the year.
