Person dies after being hit by train between Wimbledon and Teddington
A person has died after being hit by a train in the early hours this morning, the British Transport Police (BTP) has confirmed.
Officers received a reports shortly after 5am of a casualty on the tracks near Teddington railway station. Paramedics also attended.
A person was pronounced dead at the scene.

To assist customers with their journeys, tickets will be accepted, at no extra cost, on services including the London Underground between Central London, Richmond and Wimbledon, London Buses between Central London, Surbiton, Kingston, Twickenham and Richmond and Falcon Buses 557 and 400 between Shepperton, Sunbury, Walton-on-Thames and Staines.
A spokesman for Network Rail said: “Train services running through Kingston and Teddington stations may be cancelled, delayed or revised. Disruption is expected until 10am.”
