Police appeal for information after assault leaves man in critical condition

Police are appealing to the public for information after a man was assaulted and left in critical condition.

Police were called at around 9.45pm on Saturday to Manor Road in Beckenham following reports that a man had been attacked.

A short time later, officers were informed that a 20-year-old man had been admitted into hospital with head injuries. 

He remains there in a critical condition and his family have been informed.

A 17-year-old boy was arrested at the scene on suspicion of grievous bodily harm. He was taken into police custody and has been bailed pending further enquiries.

A crime scene is in place and enquiries are ongoing.
