Police release CCTV image of man after woman upskirted in Charlton

Police looking for a man after a woman was ‘upskirted’ in a supermarket have released CCTV images.

The victim, a 22-year-old woman, entered a supermarket in Charlton Church Lane at around 12:15pm on July 19.

She noticed a man follow her into the store and became aware that he appeared to be following her around the aisles.

As she looked at some items she realised the man was stood behind her.

She went to confront him when she noticed he was holding his mobile phone in his hand and that the camera was on.

He then turned around and left.

The victim phoned her mother and she was collected from the store.

CCTV footage obtained from the store captures the man following the victim before pointing his mobile phone up towards the victim’s skirt.

Officers would like to speak to the man pictured.
