Primark opens a new store
Thursday 30th November 2017 – Primark today opened a new store at Brocklebank Retail Park in Charlton.
In attendance at the store opening ceremony were representatives from Charlton Athletic Football Club. The new store has created local employment opportunities, employing 216 people.
The new store showcases two floors of fashion over 47,700 sq ft of retail space and features the latest trends in women’s, men’s and children’s fashions including footwear, accessories as well as lingerie, beauty and homeware. The store’s design and layout builds on Primark’s latest contemporary shop fit with 50 fitting rooms, 20 cash desks (including refunds and exchanges), access to free Wifi, two customer “recharge” seating area for enjoyable and convenient shopping, as well as an Insomnia coffee shop.
Employees in ‘back of house’ enjoy open spaces designed with modern features and comforts such as a ‘Recharge café’ with a fully equipped kitchen area and bright décor. This space is designed to feel like a home away from home for employees.

Today’s opening brings the number of Primark stores in the UK to 183 and 349 for the company.
