Search on for missing Plumstead man, who ‘may be sleeping rough’

The public is being asked for help to trace a man who has been reported missing.

Abel van Tonder was last seen on Friday, January 6. The 45-year-old, from Plumstead, was reported missing on January 27.

He is described as being about 6ft tall, with long blond or ginger hair and a beard.

He is missing three fingers on his right hand and speaks with a South African accent.

Police officers believe he may be sleeping rough and are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare.

Anyone who has information about his whereabouts is asked to call 101 quoting reference 23MIS003013. Report any immediate sightings to 999.
