Serving police officer suspended after being drunk and disorderly in a public place
A serving police officer has been charged with being drunk and disorderly in a public place.
PC Ed Kyme, who is attached to the Central West Basic Command Unit, which covers Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea and Hammersmith and Fulham was charged on Tuesday, February 8.
He will appear at Westminster Magistrates’ Court on Friday, March 11.
The charge relates to an incident that occurred in Leicester Square on Monday, February 7 when he was off duty.
The Directorate of Professional Standards has been informed and PC Kyme is currently suspended.
