‘So many happy memories’: Liverpool FC’s Grace Fisk returns to former primary school

A professional footballer returned to her old primary school to demonstrate her skills and hold a question and answer session with the girls’ and boys’ football teams.

Liverpool FC Women’s Grace Fisk visited St Mark’s Church of England Primary School in Aylesbury Road, Bromley, to revisit the place where her football career began and inspire a new generation of athletes.

Ms Fisk said: “Being back at St Mark’s, where I had so many happy memories, has been very special. When I played football here, it was with the boys’ team.

“So, to see that they have such a successful team for girls is great.”

During her visit, Ms Fisk played football with the children and answered questions about life as a professional athlete.

Chris Hollands, the school’s headteacher, said: “The excitement in our school during Grace’s visit was palpable and it was wonderful to watch her inspire both our girls’ and boys’ football teams in the very place where she began playing football.”
