Bobby Dean, Liberal Democrats
Bobby Dean was a student at Goldsmith in 2008, and is now standing as the Liberal democrats’ candidate for Lewisham/Deptford.
He was the first in his family to go to university, having grown up in a council house in Essex.
Bobby is a strongly against Brexit, and wants to protect his generation from its consequences.
He has been outspoken about knife crime in his area, the housing crisis, as well as mental health awareness and other youth issues.
Bobby helped found local football club AFC Oldsmiths.
His day job is advising international charities and campaigning organisations on their aims and targets.
Tan Dui, independent
Ta Dui is originally from Vietnam and a long-standing Telegraph Hill resident. He is running in the parliamentary elections as an independent candidate for Lewisham/Deptford.
He says: « Unity is important because it makes our society better and to show the public that Lewisham represents as a great nation. »
He set up a project at the Somerville Youth Center to raise awareness on plastic waste
Tan wants to tackle single use plastic, and to compress waste into eco-bricks for the construction industry.
He intends to submit his idea to all councils in the hope to counter the climate emergency
Moses John Etienne, The Brexit Party
Moses John Etienne is the Brexit party candidate for the Parliamentary elections in Lewisham Deptford.
Vicky Foxcroft, Labour
Victoria Jane Foxcroft is the current MP for Lewisham/Deptord and is running in the parliamentary elections as Labour candidate.
She has been representing Lewisham/Deptford since 2015, was previously a councillor for Brockley Ward and Chair of Lewisham Council Labour group.
Vicky wants to renegotiate the Brexit Deal and call for a public vote.
She is an advocate of the Green New Deal to tackle the climate emergency, and wants to deliver one million affordable housing over the next ten years.
Vicky is also fighting for the Bakerloo Underground line extension, and for free prescriptions in the NHS
Andrea Carey Fuller, Green Party
Andrea Carey Fuller is the Green Party candidate for Lewisham/Deptford in this year’s parliamentary elections.
She previously stood in the local council elections in Ladywell, Evelyn and New Cross Wards in Lewisham Deptford.
Andrea helped set up the Deptford Neighbourhood Forum: Deptford Neighbourhood Action in 2015.
She has worked for the Red Cross and has a background in human rights and community rights law.
Andrea wants to make London a child friendly city, to keep the NHS public and has campaigned for fairer living wages.
Gavin Haran, Conservative and Unionist Party
Gain is a school governor and has a background in finance and is the conservative candidate for Lewisham Deptford.
Gavin wants to establish a business forum to provide a voice for Lewisham’s businesses to Government.
He also wants to increase National Living Wage without increasing taxes, and is in favor of the current Brexit Deal of the conservative party
He is outspoken on reducing crime in Lewisham by increasing the number of police officers and creating mentoring and literacy programmes for at risk youth in Lewisham Deptford
He says: « I’m honoured to have been chosen, and intend to campaign for safer, cleaner streets in Deptford ».
John Robert Lloyd, Alliance for Green Socialism
John Robert Lloyd is hoping to represent the Alliance for Green Socialism in the Parliamentary election this year.
He previously stood in the 2018 local election for Telegraph Hill, and in the 2017 General Elections for Kensington.
