On November 13, Club 3000 Bingo Club in Wigan will open its doors to host the National Bingo Game sponsored Grand Final.

With over two hundred callers across Great Britain entering the prestigious competition, this number has been whittled down to just eight finalists.

Michael Farley from Apple Bingo in Kirkdale, Sydenham, has made the final eight and will be in with a chance of being crowned National Bingo Game Caller of the Year 2022 in Wigan next month.

Qualifying events have been held in Bingo venues across the whole of Great Britain contestants will be judged on criteria such as their knowledge of the game, showmanship skills, and skills as a caller.

The winner of National Bingo Game Caller of the Year will receive a trophy and £1,000 in cash.

The winner will also act as an ambassador for the land based Bingo Industry and the National Bingo Game over the next two years.

Mr Farley said: “My first ever job was as a bingo caller and that was well over 40 years ago. I still love my job to this day, calling and entertaining the crowd.

“I’m 63 and I’ll keep going with the same enthusiasm as my very first day. I’m looking forward to a great day, cheered on with a coach full rooting for me”.
