Teenager charged with murder of 17-year-old boy
A teenager has been charged with the murder of 17-year-old Khaled Saleh who was stabbed to death on Monday.
A boy aged 16 is due to appear at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court today having been arrested yesterday.
Two other teenage boys were also arrested on suspicion of murder. One remains in custody and the other has been released on bail.
Police were called at around 1.40pm on Monday to reports of a stabbing in Paddington Green, near Edgware Road.
Officers attended the scene along with paramedics from the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance.
They found a teenager with stab wounds. Despite the best efforts of the emergency services, he was pronounced dead at the scene at 2.15pm.
A statement from the Met said: “The victim has been identified as Khaled Saleh. His next of kin are being supported by specially trained officers.
“A post-mortem examination was due to be held yesterday. Enquiries into the circumstances are ongoing.
