Teenager pleads guilty to revenge stabbing of friend while filming on Snapchat

An 18-year-old woman has pleaded guilty to stabbing her former friend in a supposed act of revenge for allegedly sleeping with her boyfriend, which she filmed and put on social media.

Princess Owusu-Ansah, from Hertfordshire, went to the victim’s home on the Dog Kennel Hill Estate, East Dulwich, on February 2, and tried to pour boiling water over her after being let in.

The victim managed to cover herself with a duvet. Owusu-Ansah then stabbed her in the leg, while filming the attack on her mobile phone.

The victim ran outside into the street to get help, and was later treated at King’s College Hospital in Camberwell for non life-threatening stab wounds.

Police were alerted by a member of the public who had seen the video on Snapchat. In the video, Owusu-Ansah accuses the other woman of sleeping with “people’s man” and “thinking she can get away with it”.

Owusu-Ansah pleaded guilty to grievous bodily harm and criminal damage at Inner London Crown Court and will be sentenced on May 9.

Claudette Hamilton, senior crown prosecutor with the CPS, said: “Owusu-Ansah has pleaded guilty to stabbing her former friend.

“She turned up at the victim’s home and put her in absolute fear for her life.

“While this was happening, she gratuitously recorded the events on her mobile phone and posted this on social media.

“I hope that with these early guilty pleas and a sentence date fixed, the victim feels that we are well on the way to justice being delivered.”

The Met said they would not be releasing a custody image of Owusu-Ansah.
