They’re in everyone’s good books: Two librarians on shortlists for awards
Two dedicated and hardworking staff members at ‘Better’ libraries covering Bromley, Greenwich and Wandsworth have been shortlisted for distinguished awards from ‘Libraries Connected’.
Libraries Connected is a national charity and membership organisation that champions the value of libraries across the UK.
The awards celebrate the achievements of library workers who have had an exceptional impact on their library service, users or their local communities.
Gill Nutkins, stock librarian at Bromley Libraries, has been nominated for the ‘Vision and Print Impaired People’s Promise’ category. This is due to her dedication to making library services more accessible to people with additional needs.

Loretta Awuah, strategic business support manager at Greenwich, Bromley and Wandsworth Libraries, has been nominated in the ‘Information and Digital’ category for her fantastic work setting up and running the hugely popular business start-up programmes in the three boroughs.
The shortlist will now be considered by an expert panel, with the winners announced on June 4 at a ceremony in Warwickshire.
Better libraries are run by charitable social enterprise GLL.
