Thornton Heath motorbike crash left pillion passenger with serious injuries after rider ‘wheeled away’
A pillion passenger on a motorbike was left with serious injuries in a collision with a car that then saw the rider “wheeling away”.
Metropolitan Police are appealing for witnesses to the crash that took place on Sunday August 13 at around 6.20pm in Beulah Road, where the the motorbike collided with a white Renault Clio.
The 35-year-old pillion passenger was taken to a south London hospital where he remains with serious injuries.
The driver of the Renault stopped at the scene but police said the motorbike rider was seen wheeling the motorcycle away.
Detectives from the Roads and Transport Policing Command are investigating. They would like to speak with anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the rider with a damaged motorcycle.
They are also urging the rider to come forward and speak with them.
