Three men charged with hate crimes after incident at Waterloo station
Three men have been charged in connection with a “racially aggravated incident” at London Waterloo Station on Remembrance Day.
The British Transport Police (BTP) said the incident took place at around 5.30pm, shortly after a demonstration was dispersed from the station.
James Thomas, 33 of Forest Way in Christchurch, Ian Beim, 57, of The Crescent in Surbiton, and Kevin Sweeney, 61, of Upper Farm Road in West Molesey were all charged with racially aggravated public order offences.
All three men were released on bail to attend court in December.
Mr Thomas is due to attend Westminster Magistrates on December 13, with Beim and Sweeney due to attend the same court on December 18.Â
