Top form recorded by students at Harris Academy Beckenham
Students and staff at Harris Academy Beckenham are celebrating another fabulous set of GCSE results today with a third of all entries achieving the top grades – mirroring last week’s superb A-level results.
The Academy in Manor Way saw strong results across all subjects with a 100 per cent pass rate in biology, physics and chemistry as well as music, psychology, art, drama and religious studies. Additionally, students achieved a hugely impressive 87 per cent in English and 81 per cent in maths.
Amongst those celebrating are: Timur Kutlukaev who achieved nine grade 9s, one grade 8 and an A grade in A-level additional maths; Arthur Gray who achieved nine grade 9s, one grade 7 and an A grade in Advance A-level maths; Isabelle Hampshire who achieved six grade 9s and four grade 8s; and Samuel Duguid, who achieved six grade 9s and two grade 8s and an A in A-level additional maths.
Also among the top achievers were Rhian Salahi, who achieved six grade 9s, three grade 8s and one grade 7; Leela Gerwat, who achieved six grade 9s, two grade 8s, one grade 6 and one grade 5; Toby Gass who achieved six grade 9s, two grade 8s and one grade 6; and Lily Grimshaw, who achieved three grade 9s, four grade 8s, three grade 7s and an A grade in A Level Additional Maths.
Academy principal Ciara Warnock said: “We are immensely proud of our students for achieving these amazing results which reflect the high standards we have set at Harris Academy Beckenham.
“We are hugely ambitious for our students and know they are capable of securing superb outcomes. Congratulations to all our students who fully deserve to be celebrating today.”
