Trio of ferries set sail for the last time in Woolwich
A trio of stalwart ferries are about to set sail for the last time.
The Ernest Bevin, John Burns and James Newman ferries, that have been chugging vehicles across the Thames to and from Woolwich for more than 50 years, are set to be replaced by two new vessels.
The old sea dogs will make their last trip on October 5.
The ferry service will be suspended for three months to instal new berths for the incoming vessels.
