Two teenagers arrested in Max Moy Wheatley murder investigation
Two men have been arrested after a murder investigation was launched following the fatal stabbing of Max Moy Wheatley.
The two men – aged 19 and 18 – were arrested today on suspicion of murder.
They remain in custody at a South London police station.
A spokesman from the Met said: “Mr Wheatley’s family have been informed of this development and they continue to be supported by specialist officers.”
Mr Wheatley, 19, from Orpington, was attacked on September 20, at around 2.30pm.
An investigation was launched after Mr Wheatley died from a stab wound to the heart in Jubilee Country Park, close to Tent Peg Lane in Petts Wood, Bromley.
Police, the London Ambulance Service and the Kent Air Ambulance attended, but Mr Wheatley died at the scene.
A post-mortem examination held on September 22 gave the cause of death as a stab wound to the heart.
