Arsenal-loanee Krystian Bielik comes straight into the Charlton side for today’s first ever league visit to Accrington Stanley.
The versatile 20-year-old Polish displaces Mark Marshall in the starting eleven in what is Lee Bowyer’s only change from last week’s home win over Shrewsbury.
It’s expected that the Addicks will set up in a 3-5-2, with Bielik joining Patrick Bauer and Naby Sarr in the centre of defence and Chris Solly and Lewis Page operating as wing-backs.
Goalkeeper Jed Steer makes his first appearance in the Charlton squad, but starts on the bench as Dillon Phillips retains his place in-between the sticks.
The South Londoners name a full bench of seven players for the first time this campaign.
Charlton: Phillips, Bielik, Bauer, Sarr, Page, Pratley, Lapslie, Aribo, Solly, Taylor, Grant. Subs: Steer, Dijksteel, Marshall, Morgan, Maloney, Ajose, Hackett-Fairchild.
