AFC Wimbledon set to sign Solihull midfielder

AFC Wimbledon are set to sign Callum Maycock from Solihull Moors.

The South London Press understands that the 26-year-old is set to pen a two-year deal at Plough Lane.

Maycock was down as being offered a new deal by the National League side at the end of the 2023-24 season.

He turned out 43 times in the fifth tier for Solihull last season, scoring eight times and picking up two assists.

The Dons were in the market for a starting centre midfielder after Armani Litlle turned down a new deal to sign with League Two rivals Gillingham.

He will bolster Johnnie Jackson’s midfield options alongside Jake Reeves, James Ball and Morgan Williams.

Wimbledon’s head of football operations Craig Cope was technical director at Solihull Moors before leaving for the Dons.
