Barnsley v Charlton Athletic team news: Karlan Grant and Mark Marshall start play-off chasers clash
Karlan Grant returns to the starting line-up as Charlton prepare to face fellow promotion-hopefuls Barnsley at Oakwell.
Winger Mark Marshall also makes his first league start since August as Lee Bowyer makes two changes from the Boxing Day defeat at Coventry City.
Grant has bagged eleven goals already this season but was forced to sit out the last two home games after tweaking his hamstring in the win away to Portsmouth a fortnight ago. He featured for 45 minutes from the bench at the Ricoh Arena three days and ousts Nicky Ajose to start this afternoon alongside Lyle Taylor.
Marshall has been edging back into contention with some impressive cameos from the bench recently and is rewarded with a start in South Yorkshire – his first in League One since the goalless draw with Fleetwood at the end of August. Tariqe Fosu joins Ajose in dropping to the bench.
Barnsley have yet to taste defeat at Oakwell this campaign and sit just one point behind the Addicks in the league table.
Charlton: Steer, Dijksteel, Bauer, Pearce, Solly, Bielik, Pratley, Reeves, Marshall, Taylor, Grant. Subs: Phillips, Stevenson, Sarpong-Wiredu, Morgan, Fosu, Ajose, Hackett-Fairchild.
