Bromley manager Neil Smith: We were outstanding against Barnet
Neil Smith described his Bromley side as “outstanding” after they won 3-1 at Barnet yesterday.
The Ravens moved up to 10th in the table after their third victory this season in the National League, just a point behind Eastleigh in the final play-off spot.
Bromley went 3-0 ahead through goals from Joseph Kizzi, James Alabi and Michael Cheek before the hour mark.
Michael Petrasso reduced the deficit with 22 minutes remaining.
Ravens manager Smith said: “We’ve been up and down and not had the consistency. I’ve got players coming back – Reeco [Hackett-Fairchild] starting and James Alabi taking his chance.
“We were outstanding today and if Frankie [Raymond] puts that one away just after half-time to go 4-0 it would’ve been the icing on the cake.
“We give a goal away and make it a little more difficult for ourselves, but overall I was very pleased.”
Smith felt Alabi was Bromley’s man of the match.
“He’s come in and he’s having to fight for a place with Cheeky and Willo [Ben Williamson]. We had an injury – Willo’s had to go out wide and he’s gone down the middle and taken his chance.
“That’s what I need, I need those problems about who I’m going to play.
“We’ve got another tough game on Tuesday against Boreham Wood. We’ll assess the players but they can enjoy tonight [Saturday].”
