Charlton Athletic confirm signing of former Brighton and Luton winger LuaLua

Charlton Athletic have signed free agent winger Kazenga LuaLua on a deal until the end of April.

The left-sided attacker is the second addition made by manager Nathan Jones since he took charge at the start of last month, after also taking former Charlton striker Connor Wickham on a short-term contract.

LuaLua has previously worked with Jones at Brighton and Luton Town.

The Welsh boss confirmed in his press conference previewing tomorrow’s match at Fleetwood Town that a deal was in the offing.

LuaLua told Charlton’s official website: “I’ve enjoyed my time working under Nathan a lot.

“I know the gaffer from when I was at Brighton and also at Luton and I’ve had a good time with him. It’s a pleasure for me to be working with him again because I’ve always learned a lot when I’ve worked with him. I’m very, very happy to work with him again.

“I’m really excited to get started. I’ve been training with the team for the last few weeks and I’m buzzing to wear the shirt.”

LuaLua will wear the number 49 shirt.
