Charlton Athletic hit with FA charge following victory at Forest Green

Charlton Athletic have been charged by the FA after a “mass confrontation” broke out during their 1-0 win at Forest Green Rovers on Tuesday evening.

Dean Holden’s side left The New Lawn with all three points thanks to a second-half goal from Corey Blackett-Taylor.

The Addicks – 11th in League One – head to play-off chasing Derby County tomorrow.

A statement from the FA Spokesperson said: “Forest Green Rovers and Charlton Athletic have been charged after a mass confrontation which followed the completion of their EL League One fixture on Tuesday 14 February.

“It is alleged that both clubs failed to ensure that their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

“Forest Green Rovers and Charlton Athletic have until Tuesday 21 February to provide their respective responses.”
