Charlton Athletic injury update ahead of Championship crunch clash at Hull City

Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer has a clean bill of health for tomorrow’s Championship trip to Hull.

“It is a time for heroes,” he said. “Some will play more than others – that’s natural.

“It could be someone coming off the bench. Someone stepping into Lyle Taylor’s shoes and scoring goals. Everyone can play their part because of the number of games in a short space of time.

“Someone could step forward – or all of them, because it will take a group effort. They will all be heroes if we can turn this around.

“I always demand leadership across the park. We are not going to win all nine games. It is about how you cope if you lose one.

“This weekend is important because we can climb above Hull. But one game won’t define where we finish. We have to perform in all nine.

“If we do the right things, we will turn this around.

“Nothing will change on the football side – apart from the noise. We will still travel to a hotel, eat properly, prepare properly, walk out on the pitch the same way and try to get three points.

“We would have preferred our fans to be there, because they make a big difference. But it is what it is. We will treat it like every game we need to win.”
