Charlton Athletic v Barnsley team line-ups: Four changes as Taylor, Green and Williams all start
BY RICHARD CAWLEY
Charlton Athletic manager Lee Bowyer has made four changes for today’s Championship match against Barnsley.
The Addicks chief opts to start Lyle Taylor, Naby Sarr, Jonny Williams and Andre Green.
Ben Purrington, Erhun Oztumer and Tomer Hemed drop to the bench with Albie Morgan, who started in the stalemate against Fulham, missing out of the matchday 18.
Aiden McGeady, signed on loan from Sunderland, is one of the substitutes. David Davis and Matt Smith, loan additions from Birmingham and Manchester City respectively, did not sign in time to be able to feature.
Charlton have won one of their last 18 matches – losing 11 – but have drawn their last two at home against promotion contenders in West Bromwich Albion and Fulham.
Barnsley have won one of their last 15 away league matches – drawing three and losing 11 – but did win on their last trip to South London, at Millwall in December.
Charlton: Phillips, Matthews, Pearce, Lockyer, Sarr, Doughty, Pratley, Cullen, Williams, Green, Taylor. Subs: Amos, Purrington, Oztumer, Hemed, Forster-Caskey, McGeady.
Barnsley: Sahin-Radlinger, J Williams, Andersen, Brown, Woodrow, Chaplin, Thomas, Sollbauer, Odour, Halme, Mowatt. Subs: Walton, B Williams, Dougal, Ludewig, Schmidt, Styles, Simoes.
