Charlton striker absences at Brentford explained
Charlton boss Lee Bowyer has explained the absence of Tomer Hemed and Andre Green in last night’s derby defeat to Brentford.
The Addicks lost 2-1 in west London as their spirited display did not translate into points.
Both strikers were not in Bowyer’s 20-man squad at Griffin Park.
“Andre had a bit of a knock,” said the Charlton manager. “It was Tomer’s first 90 minutes [against Millwall] that he had played for well over a year, we had to look after him and make sure he was ready to go again for the weekend.
“It was just to rest him, because he played 90 minutes against Millwall.”
