Crystal Palace midfielder set to be out for up to six months with meniscus injury
Crystal Palace midfielder Cheick Doucoure looks set to be out for up to six months after suffering a serious meniscus injury in training.
The Mali international is now setting his sights on a return to action ahead of the 2025-26 season.
Doucoure has suffered an injury-hit spell with the Eagles since tearing his Achilles against Luton in November 2023 and missed five Premier League outings this season due to a toe injury.
The 24-year-old has featured 14 times under Oliver Glasner but is now set for another spell on the sidelines.
Palace tied Doucoure down to a new deal until 2029 after Liverpool showed interest in the midfielder in ahead of his first season at Selhurst Park when he won the club’s Player of the Year award.
Glasner’s midfield options have been boosted by the return of Adam Wharton.
The South London Press understands the England international returned to full training this week as he steps up his return from groin surgery.
