Crystal Palace working on deal to sign Marseille’s Ismaila Sarr

Crystal Palace are working on a deal to sign versatile attacker Ismaila Sarr from Marseille.

The 26-year-old is set to be allowed to leave the French side after the appointment of Roberto De Zerbi.

Palace sporting director Dougie Freedman has been a long-time admirer of the Senegal international, who could provide attacking and wing-back cover for Oliver Glasner’s side.

The Eagles lost Michael Olise to Bayern Munich this summer and will be looking to further recruit in an attacking position should they land Sarr.

Sarr joined Marseille from Watford last summer. He picked up 56 goal contributions in 131 outings for the Hornets.

Palace have signed Chadi Riad and Daichi Kamada this summer, with Ryan Sessegnon on trial with the club following his release from Tottenham Hotspur.
