Dons attacker nominated for League Two Player of the Month for October

AFC Wimbledon’s Josh Davison has been nominated for Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month for October.

The 23-year-old joined the Dons over the summer for a club-record fee from Charlton Atheltic.

Davison’s scored four times in six games during October, bagging a double in the 2-1 win over Colchester, the winner in the 2-1 win over Rochdale and the 88th-minute winner in the 3-2 victory over Harrogate Town.

Johnnie Jackson’s side picked up 10 points in October.

Enfield-born Davison, who spent the second half of last season on loan with Swindon Town, has scored seven times in all competitions for the South Londoners.

Doncaster Rovers full-back Kyle Knoyle, who recorded four assists in October from right-back, has also been nominated for the award.

Davison is also up against Stockport County striker Paddy Madden after he recorded five goals and one assist last month.

Former Crystal Palace and Charlton Athletic midfielder Jonny Williams is also in contention for the award after he picked up four goals and one assist in October for Swindon Town.

The winner will be announced on Friday.
