Dulwich Hamlet boss Paul Barnes – Worthing hammering my lowest moment in football

Dulwich Hamlet’s shocking National League South form continued as they were thrashed 6-0 at Worthing in midweek.

The South London club have taken one point from a possible 27 and conceded 26 goals.

Hamlet were 3-0 down at the break in Sussex – Josh Chambers, Ollie Pearce and Reece Myles-Meekums scoring. Joel Colbran added a fourth just past the hour mark.
Myles-Meekum and Ollie Pearce caused further damage as Dulwich slumped to their heaviest ever National League South loss.

Dulwich manager Paul Barnes said: “It’s embarrassing. It’s the lowest point since I’ve been involved in football, at any level. We can only apologise to supporters – it was way beyond acceptable.

“Some of the players have got to question, do they deserve picking up their money? What they have put on there is a disgrace. Thursday we are back in, harsh truths and back to work – look at a plan for Saturday.”
