Exclusive: Contract lengths of Charlton boss Dean Holden and technical director Andy Scott revealed
Dean Holden’s Charlton Athletic contract runs until the end of the season.
The Addicks announced on Tuesday that former Bristol City boss Holden, 43, had succeeded Ben Garner in the SE7 hotseat.
Andy Scott – previously in big recruitment roles at Forest, Brentford, Watford and Swansea – has been brought in by Jim Rodwell, also a fresh appointment as chief operating officer.
Scott’s deal initially runs until the end of January – although he is hoping that he is here for far longer.
“There were options for me to go into other jobs as an assistant and double that up being an international assistant – a longer contract as well,” Holden, previously Stoke City number two, told the South London Press.
“I wanted to be a number one again. There was another option to do that. I looked at this squad. Once I was in discussion, there were different lengths of contract discussed, this felt like the right thing for me and the football club.
“There have been too many managers recently and everybody needs to come in, stabilise the club and get away from the danger zone and then assess exactly where we’re at.”
